Private Flute Lessons
Whether you are picking up the flute for the very first time or looking to take your playing to the next level, I offer lessons for flutists of all ages and backgrounds. I love working with curious beginners, passionate hobbyists, and dedicated advanced students alike.
Lessons are available in-person (in the Johnson City, TN area). I design each lesson around your individual goals, interests, and learning style—and always aim to create a supportive, encouraging space where you can grow, explore, and enjoy the process of making music.

The ETSU Flute Studio
The East Tennessee State University Flute Studio is a close-knit, supportive community where students are encouraged to grow as musicians and people. My goal is to help each flutist develop a strong technical foundation, musical curiosity, and confidence on stage, while also learning how to collaborate, listen, and lead. Students perform regularly in flute choir, chamber ensembles, and solo settings, with weekly studio class providing opportunities for frequent performance alongside discussions of pedagogy, performance anxiety, auditions, music history, and the role of musicians in the modern era. As part of the ETSU Department of Music, the flute studio is an active, joyful place to make music, build community, and find your artistic voice.
